When I consider purchasing a waterproof version of water resistant attire I own, I often question if it's necessary. Today was one of those days that obliterates any doubt. I endured a unwaveringly steady, sometimes heavy rain with trees existing only as a fond memory for most of the day.
Yet on this occasion when I was grateful to be shielded with waterproofing (and for my poles which I instinctively stabbed to my own rescue a few times), I found myself yearning for the warm embrace of a more familiar garment: my fleecy, 7-ply synchilla pants which have practically fondled my legs w/ comfort each day since September.
It's strange to be daydreaming about getting in your rental car and slipping on pants, but it's not the first time. As I take refuge at @rhymeandreasonbrewery
enjoying a frosty pint, acknowledging the glory of being able to expose my flesh, I remind myself to savor the fabric around my hairy legs.
: if you could use another catalog writer, let me know 🍺 *If you are inspired to buy these pants, please do so on wornwear, eBay, poshmark, or another secondhand seller
