The Canard à la Rouennaise à la Presse served table side from @dcberan
- whole roast duck, salad of salanova lettuce and duck leg, and gratin dauphinois.
One my favorite meals in recent memory without a doubt. Who doesn’t love dinner and show!? Excellent duck and killer sauce, paired with their insane potatoes (the gratin dauphinois) - one of my favorite bites of the year!!! Watching them slice and prepare the duck then fit it into the awesomely impressive antique press along with the duck’s offal - slowly turning and squeezing out the juices and using them for a sauce table side was such a cool experience.
It is a bit pricey though. It’s $165 for two people BUT that includes tip (all of the menu has tip factored into each item - which is pretty fantastic if you ask me) AND it includes a salad with duck leg (pictured 7th), and the potato Gratin dauphinois (which was craveworthy, pictured 4th). Really not thatttt bad, but still a very worthy special occasion feast.
I’d also recommend ordering the quenelle with scallop and caviar beurre blanc (pictured last). Arguably even better than the duck itself. Was like a scallop bisque but in solid form.
